Here is the link to my evaluation on Prezi. I have created a pathway for you to follow so hopefully it will work! :)
I am very proud of what my group and I have acheived. Overall, we have worked well together to create what i think is a successful music promotion package. :)

The World Of Prezi
I want my evaluation to be interesting, interactive and exciting. After careful thinking about how not to make my evaluation pages of writing, I was introduced the website Prezi an online presentation programme. Unlike a normal presentation programme such as powerpoint, their is only on slide in which all my information will go, giving the audience an interactive role in investigating my page.
I have decided to use a Prezi for my evaluation as it allows me to be more creative. I plan on incorporating text, video and pictures into my evaluation rather than a lengthy essay, which i feel will be more beneficial to me and also for those who want to read it.

What To Put In An Advert
Before making our advert, we need to research designs and layouts of conventional paper adverts in order for us to make our own recognisable, eye-catching and effective in promoting our product.
Laura has found some more information about what to include in our advert.

Evaluation Questions
These are the four questions we need to answer for our evaluation:
*In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
*How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
*What have you learned from your audience feedback?
*How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

Unfortuently, they are still individual images, but to get the correct sizes and so we could work to the best of our ability, we made each panel seperatly.

Let's Make An Advert!
For our second subsidiary task, we are creating a paper advertisement for our digipak. Here are a few current examples of what we will produce ourselves.
Hopefully, by using stereotypical conventions and layouts of print advertising, we will also be able to produce an effective advert.
The layout for this advert is very simple, split into three sections, as are many paper adverts. This is effective as it is clear and easy for the audience to read, but still the large picture in the middle is eye catching. The image used in the advert is also the same image for the bands album cover, creating the connection between the two.
This is a similar advertisement. The simplicity of the layout and colour scheme is typical of many indie bands, who often prefer not to use pictures of themselves.
Unlike, the two previous, not all print advertisements have to be full page; some often only fill half a page or less. The top one does include a picture of the band, but both are simply pictures of the album cover of the product advertised. The fonts used are those which are commonly used by the band so it is easy for the target audience to see the connection between their products.Hopefully, by using stereotypical conventions and layouts of print advertising, we will also be able to produce an effective advert.

Photoshop
We have decided to use Adobe Photoshop to edit and produce both our digipak and paper advertisement. We choose photoshop as it is the software that both the school offers and also Charlie has on here laptop meaning, we can work out of lesson time. Photoshop offers many benefits when editing images, there are a large range of different effects and tools in order to manipulate a photo however you want. This means we can experiment around with ideas and hopefully produce an exciting and bold advert to attract our target audience.

Digipak Designs
Together we came up with 3 different design possibilities for the layout of our digipak. Laura has very kindly drawn them up in neat and has commented on why we are or are not using them.

Update
Now we know more about digipaks, we will now design a few layouts and then collectively choose which one will be best. We made members of our media class to draw their own interpretations of carpet monsters which we will incorporate into our design.

We Hate Editing!
We have hit a problem! When we first uploaded our footage, we had to upload to imovie as final cut wasn't working! We then imported the footage to finalcut when possible to begin editing. However after doing this, the footage quality has decreased and there are lines flicking throughout most of the footage. This is a problem we can not unfortuently fix as we as well as our technician cannot find the source of the problem. However, we shall have to continue and make our video to the best of our ability :)
