Photoshop

We have decided to use Adobe Photoshop to edit and produce both our digipak and paper advertisement. We choose photoshop as it is the software that both the school offers and also Charlie has on here laptop meaning, we can work out of lesson time. Photoshop offers many benefits when editing images, there are a large range of different effects and tools in order to manipulate a photo however you want. This means we can experiment around with ideas and hopefully produce an exciting and bold advert to attract our target audience.

Digipak Designs

Together we came up with 3 different design possibilities for the layout of our digipak. Laura has very kindly drawn them up in neat and has commented on why we are or are not using them.

Update

Now we know more about digipaks, we will now design a few layouts and then collectively choose which one will be best. We made members of our media class to draw their own interpretations of carpet monsters which we will incorporate into our design.

We Hate Editing!

We have hit a problem! When we first uploaded our footage, we had to upload to imovie as final cut wasn't working! We then imported the footage to finalcut when possible to begin editing. However after doing this, the footage quality has decreased and there are lines flicking throughout most of the footage. This is a problem we can not unfortuently fix as we as well as our technician cannot find the source of the problem. However, we shall have to continue and make our video to the best of our ability :)
